Cheesy Crusted Trout Recipe
2 medium Trout fillets (2 pounds) with skin and bones removed
Cut the trout fillets into serving size pieces. Spray a medium sized baking dish with non stick cooking oil. Place the pieces into the baking dish. Place the dish in your refrigerator to chill the trout for 10 minutes. Remove the trout from your refrigerator and spoon the melted butter on the pieces with a spoon. The melted butter should be spread across the trout pieces evenly with the spoon. The butter should gel and get sticky when it touches the chilled fish. Sprinkle the spices on the top of the trout pieces. Place the cheese flavored crackers into a plastic bag and crush coarsely. Spoon the cheese cracker crumbs on top of the fillets. Press lightly to make the crumbs adhere to the fillets. Pre heat your oven to 400 degrees. Place the baking dish with the trout on the top rack of your oven. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove After 10 minutes check is trout easily flakes with a fork, and remove. Serves four.
4 tablespoons melted butter
2 cups cheese flavored cracker crumbs
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon parsley flakes
