Gamakatsu Hooks Split Shot / Drop Shot Hooks
There are few things hotter in the Bass Fishing right now than Drop Shot fishing. This technique has migrated from the west all over the country. This technique also works effectively for Trout and Salmon. The advantage of a Gamakatsu Drop Shot hook rig is the ability to suspend bait off of the bottom where it is easier for the fish to get and where it will stay in the strike zone. The length of the tag end can be adjusted to match the level where the fish are suspended. It’s a great finesse presentation since the bait is presented more naturally and almost perfectly parallel to the bottom every time. Because there are no weights or swivels between the angler and bait, this rig is far more sensitive than other rigs that have the weight placed before the bait. It can be fished vertically, or can be cast out and worked back on a retrieve. It’s a very versatile rig. The ultimate hook for nose hooking grubs or any fine style bait.
